About TimeRows
TimeRows is a visual timezone converter and meeting overlap planner built for distributed teams, remote engineers, and global organizations. Stack the cities your colleagues work in, and TimeRows aligns every hour of the day horizontally so you can see at a glance when everyone is awake and inside working hours.
How visual time rows work
- Stacked 24-hour tracks: Each pinned city is displayed as a 24-hour horizontal ribbon shaded into three intuitive daily phases: Night (11 pm–7 am), Off-hours (7–9 am and 5–11 pm), and Work hours (customizable, 8 am–5 pm or 9 am–5 pm).
- Automatic overlap detection: The emerald overlap frame highlights the contiguous columns where every city on your board is simultaneously within working hours, and summarizes the exact local time span at the top of the board.
- Drag-to-schedule lens: Click any hour or drag across multiple columns to lock a meeting window. Export a standard RFC 5545
.icscalendar file, open Google Calendar with all city times pre-filled, or copy a Slack snippet in one click.
Official IANA timezone & Daylight Saving accuracy
Unlike basic calculators that rely on static UTC offsets, TimeRows computes every hour slot
against the official IANA Time Zone Database (such as
America/New_York, Europe/London, Asia/Kolkata, and
Asia/Tokyo) for the exact calendar date you select.
Because northern-hemisphere cities, southern-hemisphere cities, and non-DST regions shift on
different dates—or not at all—picking a future date on the date strip automatically adjusts
for upcoming Daylight Saving Time transitions, including 23-hour spring-forward days,
25-hour fall-back days, and 30-minute or 45-minute offset zones (India +5:30,
Adelaide +9:30, Kathmandu +5:45).
